Tom's Golden Mile Challenge

After the huge success of our walk we have decided to make this an annual event, and turn it into a book so others can enjoy The Golden Miles throughout the year, on holiday or as their own challenge

Walk the final 7 miles with us on Sunday morning(start time to be confirmed from Queen Mary's Bower, Chatsworth House)

Concluding our walk at the Thornbridge Hall Annual Charity Garden Party in Ashford in the Water.

Registration fee is £10 Adults, including a Pint of Thornbridge Ale, admission to the Garden Party and return coach to Chatsworth House.
Child Ticket £5 including Orange squash, admission to Garden Party and return coach.
Special family ticket -2 adults, 2 children £25

Certain areas of the walk are not suitable for prams or wheelchairs due to uneven ground and stiles etc. The majority of the walk however is following trails, on grass and tarmac. Dogs are welcome on a leash. The aim of the walk is to highlight the staggering amount of money required each year for the running of the hospice. This year a massive £3 million is needed with only a minimal amount being given by central government.

My own son Thomas benefits from attending Bluebell Wood and the hospice is a great support to all the family and too many other families from South Yorkshire and the North Midlands with children suffering with life threatening or life limiting illnesses.

Date: Sunday 7th July 2013.
